the glass slipper session

Choosing a wedding photographer can be tough.  There is a wide variety of styles and packages available and, because each photographer operates just a little bit differently, it’s difficult to compare apples to apples.  In an effort to pare down the number of choices, you put together some criteria and book some meetings to get to know some photographers. During your meeting, you evaluate your shortlisted photographers against your criteria on the basis of a brief meeting and a review of material that puts the photographer’s abilities and experience in the best light.  But is that coffee-table meeting enough?

While that process can adequately measure how well a photographer’s style and packages matches the couple’s tastes and budget, I believe that coffee-shop meetings don’t sufficiently measure a key factor that should be considered in selecting a wedding photographer: chemistry.

Coffee-shop meetings don’t sufficiently measure a key factor that should be considered in selecting a wedding photographer: chemistry

Chemistry is a big factor to getting great photos. Chemistry, as you’ll read in one of the articles on this blog, look good in front of the camera,  helps you look good, because you feel comfortable. You can take comfort in the ability of your photographer to, not only take your photos, but to also connect with you so that he can tell your story with beautiful imagery.

To help you make a more complete evaluation of your prospective photographer, Te Amo Photography offers engaged Calgary couples something called a Glass Slipper Session, where you can “try on” Te Amo Photography with a mini engagement session, enjoy some free coffee, and have a nice chat about you and your wedding plans.  There are no obligations, just a chance to see samples of our work, experience how well we work together, and get answers to your questions.
