amanda & matt – wedding

It’s been said that “true love waits.”  And, for six years, that’s exactly what Matt did because he knew — he knew she was the one for him.  When the moment was right he asked her out, and she said, “yes.”  One year later, he asked her to be his bride, and again she said, “yes!” Amanda and Matt’s story can simply be described in two words: true love.

Although you’ll know within seconds of hanging out with Amanda that she’s a great person to be around, I found proof in her living room: she has a Dwight Schrute bobblehead!  How awesome is that, right?!

Amanda and Matt’s wedding day started their day off with a first look — something I recommend everyone should do!  As we were preparing, Matt admitted to me that for the first time, he was nervous.  You couldn’t tell from his face at all!  I did remind him that he looks great, his bride-to-be looks amazing, and the wedding will be wonderful, and I’m sure he agreed…

and now for the big reveal…  Words really couldn’t express how tender this moment was, and I’m so thankful for the privilege to be able to capture it.  He was speechless… she was speechless… and as I write this, I’m speechless.  Really. Sweet. Moment.

 

After a few moments together, they were whisked away to begin the ceremony!

A quick bite to eat with some absolutely delicious cupcakes by The Flourbag Princess.

The day was a scorcher, so we stopped for some ice cream to cool off!

alyssa & john-marc wedding

If I could compare Alyssa and John-Marc to anything, it would be maple syrup. John-Marc, a Vancouverite, is the maple side; Alyssa is the syrup — full of sweetness, especially to her man!  Together, they have all the sweet, syrupy goodness that couples in love ooze out!  And, of course, who can resist maple syrup?!

See? I told you they were super syrupy sweet!

Not just groomsmen…  bodyguards too!

nicole & martin wedding

Nicole and Martin have known each other since childhood, and since their childhood, Nicole has had her eyes on Martin. It took many years for them to finally get together, with life taking them apart, then eventually bringing them both back to the Vancouver area, but when they did, their relationship quickly blossomed into love.

Throughout the day, I noticed in Nicole’s eyes, the pure joy she was feeling with the realization that the boy that she had a childhood crush on is the man she now loves, and he loves her, and is now her husband! Congratulations, Nicole and Martin!
