Te Amo Photography!
www.teamophotography.com
So here’s the long-awaited post! If you’ve been keeping track of the suggestions, you may have noticed that the name, Te Amo Photography, was never suggested. So where did it come from, and why did it get selected? Well, the suggestion actually came from me… That doesn’t mean the deck was stacked, though. I really wanted you to talk me out of using it, not because I don’t like the name, but because maybe… just maybe… someone would suggest something so profound, that I would just immediately love it. Well, as it turns out, the more I thought about it, I realized that I already had the perfect name in front of me! Te Amo means “I love you,” in Spanish, a language that is exotic, beautiful, and romantic. That’s really my goal with my photography — to capture my clients’ love for each other in a language that is entirely theirs — exotic, beautiful, and romantic.
So what does that mean for people who made suggestions — does nobody get the prize? Well, it means good things, actually! Although nobody wins the prize of a free portrait session, I value your participation, and appreciate that many of you put in some thought to the name(s) that you suggested, so I will be emailing you a special something as a token of my thanks! Check your email for details.
Again, thanks for all the suggestions! Stay tuned while the new brand and website is created! I’m excited about this change and hope you come along with me on this new avenue called, Te Amo Photography!

I was asked to take staff photos by the staff at Greater Vancouver Baptist Church for use with their website and print media. Here are some of the headshots from this session.

Angeli and Shaun are a fun couple whose wedding is coming up in January 2010. I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding because they have quite an interesting theme. I won’t give it away now, of course, but I can tell you that you won’t want to miss seeing their photos come January!
I shot their engagement session earlier this year, but for some reason, I wasn’t able to blog it right away, but I wanted to share these photos with you all! While most of this shoot was done in Gastown, we just had to get some shots with Shaun’s pocket rocket because, Shaun loves motorbikes, and, of course, Angeli!

This one’s my personal favorite. It feels almost like a scene from Gone with the Wind!
