I am so glad to be back in BC! This past week, my family & I went to a blueberry farm 5 minutes — yes, that’s FIVE minutes — away from our house to pick some berries! I, of course, took my camera and was clicking while picking! While we were in Ontario, fruit picking required a special trip and special planning to know which fruits were in season and which farms were open for picking. It’s great to have opportunities to make memories with like this with my family, and because it’s so accessible, we can do it more often!
Here’s my wife showing off the fruits of our labor! Mmmm…

It was a dark and stormy night, and amid the flashes of lighting, much smaller flashes could be seen on Steveston’s boardwalk. Unaffected by the weather, my brother-in-law and I, our support crew, and a model worked together to create some great images. By the time we were done, we were all a little wet and cold, but we had a blast!

this next one’s my favorite…

It seems like some couples will go to great lengths to try something unique for their wedding. While I’m all for being original, please, please, please try to be safe! Check out this article from the BBC:

Coming back to Vancouver has given me an opportunity to develop new business cards because my old ones still have my Toronto number with the 416 area code. Well, that won’t do at all around here — especially because that number no longer belongs to me! So… without further ado, here it is!

I used a very simple design with my logo and contact information because I want people to know that I’m here — to serve the the Greater Vancouver Region! Below are my previous designs:
This first one is designed to promote my wedding photography services:

So… What do you think? You like?

It was a pleasure shooting Lisa & Al… They are such a relaxed couple, both in front of the camera, and in person — and, boy, are they in love! If they weren’t laughing, they were being sweet with each other! Their engagement session was shot in a fairly cool morning in March and they had their beautiful wedding on June 13. Congratulations, you two!

…and now for some images from their wedding!

Lisa texting her fiance (for a few more hours) on her iPhone

The very kind folks at the Vancouver Fire Department Firehall #5 were kind enough to actually drive this firetruck out of their garage just for us!!! How cool is that?! Thanks so much, you guys!

See? I told you they were really sweet!

What an awesome ring. Al feels the need — the need for speed! Nice touch with the carbon fibre on his ring (his hood is made out of carbon fibre too!)

This is the second year I have had the opportunity to shoot the Lindemans’ family portraits. We had a great time, but it was a little sad because this would be my last shoot in Ontario, at least for a while!
